Many people wonder why they need a pre-workout supplement at all. The fact is it can be essential to achieving your fitness and training goals. A pre-workout supplement allows you to train at your full potential. It unlocks your mind and body’s ability to push past limits that it would normally be unable to cross. The extreme focus and intensity a pre-workout gives you will allow you to train hard enough to make real progress in the gym and break through plateaus.

A pre-workout allows your body to function at a higher level to keep up with what your mind demands. In the highly competitive arenas of sport and fitness, a quality pre-workout supplement is essential to success. Several studies have shown that taking caffeine can provide a physical boost before a workout. For instance, a 2012 study in the Journal of Strength Conditioning and Resistance found those who took caffeine supplements could deadlift, bench-press and do other heavy lifting at greater weights compared with those who took a placebo. Other studies have suggested that runners and rowers can increase their aerobic capacity with a dose of caffeine

Slendesta is a branded form of protein, sourced from white potato extract. It is affective as a craving crusher compound due to its ability to make you feel full, longer. The release of this white potato extract has a protein that can help your brain feel like you have eaten enough food. This way, you won’t feel hungry for up to 4 hours. This protein is proteinase inhibitor II (PI2) and helps release a peptide known as cholecystokinin, a compound that is naturally produced by the digestive system. This peptide sends signals to your brain that you are still full, establishing satiety in the process. According to a study by NCBI, a composite weight loss dietary supplement (slendesta included) has shown to help decrease body fat, increase lean body mass and increase HDL (good cholesterol). The study gives real evidence that slendesta can help prevent obesity and may also induce health improvements.

AdvantraZ is the commercial name for bitter orange. Bitter orange has been in the spotlight for years due to its effective and naturally, potent weight loss abilities. Bitter orange is known to help treat kidney and bladder disorders, liver and gallbladder diseases, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, cancer, joint pain, headaches and many others. According to NCBI, a combination of p-synephrine and bitter orange extract increases metabolism and energy expenditure. Though AdvantraSlim doesn’t have p-synephrine, it does give 80mg of caffeine per serving. Caffeine and p-synephrine works similarly as both compounds are stimulants.

PM Sleep Tight

PM Sleep Tight is a supplement comprised of clinically backed ingredients like Ashwagahnda and Melatonin, to help promote healthy cortisol levels that reduce stress and belly fat, balance of hormones, improved insulin sensitivity, and deeper more restful sleep. Ashwagandha can help with anxiety and stress-relief. When we are stressed our hypothalamus release hormones that travel through the bloodstream to the pituitary gland, which in turn secretes other hormones and activates the adrenal gland, which releases the stress hormone, cortisol. Ashwagandha enhances the body’s activity to resist the stressor. It exerts a normalizing influence on the body, neither over-stimulating nor inhibiting normal body function. Ashwagandha’s is also known to be a powerful antioxidant Extracts of ashwagandha produce GABA-like activity, which may account for the herb’s antianxiety effects.

GABA (Gamma Amino-butyric acid) is an inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. Its function is to decrease neuronal activity and inhibit nerve cells from over-firing. This action produces a calming effect. Excessive neuronal activity can lead to restlessness and sleeplessness, but GABA inhibits the number of nerve cells that fire in the brain, and helps to induce sleep, uplift mood, and reduce anxiety. There is emerging evidence suggesting a role of ashwagandha in suppressing stress-induced increase of dopamine receptors in the corpus striatum of the brain. It is also claimed to reduce stress-induced increases of plasma corticosterone, blood urea nitrogen, and blood lactic acid. Overall, ashwagandha helps the body in coping with stress by restoring hypothalamic and peripheral receptor sensitivity to the effects of cortisol and other adrenal hormones.

All Natural Protein

Whey protein isn’t just the fuel of big-bodied muscle heads. Don’t get us wrong, if you’re getting good quality workouts in and sticking to a diet full of lean protein, fiber- and vitamin-rich veggies and fruits, and good-quality carbs, and still not seeing the results you want, whey protein will help you gain greater results. But that’s not the only reason it should be a part of your daily routine. We narrowed down the top four health benefits tucked away in your whey.

1. Lose fat and preserve muscle Have you reduced your caloric intake hoping to shed some flab? If so, you might be interested to learn that researchers in Minnesota conducted a 12-week study where subject’s daily caloric intake was reduced by 500 calories. They then gave some participants whey and the rest were given an isocaloric mix beverage. Those consuming whey lost a significantly greater amount of body fat (6.1% total) and better preserved their muscles.

2. Incease size and strength Hitting the gym hard hoping to make strength gains? Researchers at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, took 19 men performing resistance training over a 10-week period and gave some of them 14 grams of whey and casein protein along with 6 grams of free amino acids, while giving the rest a 20-gram placebo. Those who consumed the whey had greater increases in fatfree mass and muscle strength. The key is to follow the example of the study and consume whey one hour before and after the exercises.

3. Reduce hunger Hungry? Whey could help you reduce hunger and avoid developing a bowling ballshaped physique. Australian researchers had 28 obese men consume four different drinks. Those who consumed the beverage containing 50 grams of whey had significantly reduced levels of ghrelin (a hormone that tells your brain you’re hungry) up to four hours later. So instead of munching on unhealthy party snacks, drink a protein shake beforehand.

4. Manage stress Are you feeling stressed? Don’t even think about reaching for liquor because studies conducted in the Netherlands appear to have found a far better alternative for those vulnerable to stress. Researchers put 58 subjects through experimental stress and found that those who consumed whey protein experienced fewer symptoms of depression and seemed in a better mood than those who did not. They concluded that there were likely changes in the brain serotonin. Instead of drowning your sorrows in booze or junk food, opt for a refreshing whey protein shake.

Muscle Joint Skin

Full of essential amino acids and Collagen, the Muscle Joint Skin formula works to promote joint and bone health while also maintaining connective tissue throughout the body. Repair your muscles, optimize your performance, and prepare for your next workout by taking this all natural supplement regularly.

Leucine: The body requires not only food to supply the nine essential amino acids it cannot make on its own, but also the right amounts of essential amino acids to help in the process of using and making those other twelve amino acids within the body. Leucine is one of the branched chain amino acids, sometimes referred to as the main BCAA. It is the most potent inducer of muscle protein synthesis on a molecular level, and is ketogenic (produced ketones when metabolized). Leucine and/or its metabolites appear to increase intracellular calcium, similar to muscle contractions, and the increase in calcium will activate proteins such as mTOR which then induce muscle protein synthesis. Unlike muscle contraction, however, leucine likely does this in all cells rather than localized to skeletal muscle. In older men and women, leucine has been found to increase muscle protein synthesis independent of hyperaminoacidemia suggesting it itself is an independent predictor of muscle protein synthesis. Leucine is a tad different from the other two BCAAs isoleucine and valine as leucine seems to have a fair bit of testing on the amino acid in isolation rather than in a BCAA mixture, whereas the other two BCAAs are not as well studied. The studies assessing leucine mostly look at muscle protein synthesis when additional leucine is added to the diet or to a test meal, and it appears that leucine is able to reliably increase muscle protein synthesis after test meals. Leucine tends to be supplemented in the 2,000-5,000mg range for acute usage.

Collagen: Hydrolyzed collagen contains 8 out of 9 essential amino acids, including glycine and arginine—two aminoacid precursors necessary for the biosynthesis of creatine. Ingestion of hydrolyzed collagen may affect the skin by increasing the density of collagen fibrils and fibroblasts, thereby stimulating collagen production. It has been suggested, that hydrolyzed collagen peptides have chemotactic properties on fibroblasts or an influence on growth of fibroblasts. Some clinical studies report that the oral ingestion of hydrolyzed collagen decreases joint pain, those with the most severe symptoms showing the most benefit. Beneficial action is likely due to hydrolyzed collagen accumulation in the cartilage and stimulated production of collagen by the chondrocytes, the cells of cartilage. Several studies have shown that a daily intake of hydrolyzed collagen increases bone mass density
